1942 Commander Badge made by Spink in London.
Normally the St Olav Grand Cross Badge and St Olav Commander are the same size and used for both classes. However there is one exception to that rule. The Grand Cross Badge and Commander Badge made by Spink in London for the Norwegian Government in exile in London in 1942 made a few very rare St Olav orders. They were made of gilted silver instead of the normal gold versions. They come in two different versions. As such they are unique.
