Cross of the Royal House of Hohenzollern, 2nd Class, 3rd model, for civil, breast badge, silvered,
with original suspension ring and ribbon by "Da Costa - Lisboa." a very rare specimen, produced
in exile at the specific commission of King Carol II in the 1960`s. Instituted with the royal decree
2836 on the 20th of December 1935, the cross had two classes and from 1937 to 1941 swords
could be added. In exile King Carol II added a first class to the cross.

Medal of Aeronautical Virtue, for civil, complete set of three classes; 1st Class gilt, 2nd class
silvered and 3rd Class in bronze in original case of issue, together with rare awarding document
for a radio operator, the 5th of April 1946, all three with original ribbons. Rare and interesting
extremely fine condition set! The medal was instituted in 1931, to reward the merits of air
personnel and troops.

2nd Class with crown, 1st model, for navigating personnel, awarded for merits in time of peace,
breast badge in silver with crown, hallmarked "10-27", maker`s mark "HW" and cipher of Carol II,
with original worn ribbon. The medal was instituted in 1936, first as the Maritime Medal and was
subsequently changed by royal decree in 1938 into Medal of Maritime Virtue. It was awarded in
recognition of bravery and valor. The medal was organized in three classes, 1st class gilt, 2nd
class in silver and the 3rd in bronze and two models, for navigating personnel, bearing a crown,
and for non-navigating personnel, without crown. After 1938 it could also be awarded for merit in
war, with swords under the crown in all three classes. The obverse design is a sailing boat
tossed by the waves and on the base of the medal, the king`s cipher. On the reverse is an
anchor over which is superposed a ribbon bearing the legend "Pentru Marina" ("For the Navy"), all
surrounded by a chain.

Bronze gilt, blue enamelled, enamel damages on both sides, original damaged ribbon. Instituted in
1916 by King Ferdinand, the order was the highest war decoration available to officers only,
awarded for outstanding military leadership or bravery in the field. The breast badge is a blue
enamelled trefoiled cross with golden edges, with the cipher of King Ferdinand on the obverse
and the order`s institution date, 1916, on the reverse.

Knight`s Cross with swords, 1st model, for military in time of war; breast badge, silver gilt,
maker`s mark "A.Lavriller" on the shield reverse, with original ribbon. One enamel chip on the
upper point. 1st model with cipher of Carol II, rarely awarded (first form was issued only for
merits in WW I). The order was instituted on July 31st, 1930 by Carol II, in four classes,
Commander, Officer, Knight and Golden Cross, and awarded to the civilian and military air
personnel, in times of peace and in war. The decoration is a cross with a longer vertical arm, in
the same design as the Michael the Brave order and a horizontal arm designed as a stylized wing.
The central shield has the Romanian eagle on white enamel and the king`s cipher in the middle on
blue enamel. The green enamelled laurel wreath between the arms of the cross is present only by
the first two classes. On the reverse side the year of the introduction, 1930.

(Resch Fii)", with medium pin on reverse. Beautifull old patina. The Order of Carol I, the highest
Romanian order, instituted on May 10th, 1906, part of the 40th jubilee celebration of King Carol of
Hohenzollern, was awarded until 1932 in 4 classes: Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer and
Commander. With the introduction of the Order of Loyal Service in 1932, the last two classes of
the Order Carol I were closed, but the decorations could be worn until 1947. Very rare set, 25
limited awards in 26 years.

suspension ring and ribbon. Very rare, in perfect condition! The Order of Ferdinand I was
instituted on May 10th, 1929, "to the everlasting memory of King Ferdinand I, the Founder of the
nation, for merit in uniting all Romanians in a single state". The order could be conferred only to
Romanian citizens, for outstanding merits in the national union. The order was closed by law no.
12 on February 18th, 1937. The decoration of the order displays a special form combining four
ciphers of King Ferdinand (double F).

obverse bears the Romanian coat of arms, the reverse medallion with the inscription "Serviciu
Credincios", for Loyal Service. Slight chip on one arm, with large original ribbon. Extremely rare,
high quality order! The order was instituted on April, 29th 1932 by King Carol II in three classes
(Grand Cross, Grand Officer and Commander), at the same time replacing the two bottom grades
of the Order of Carol I. In 1937 the collar and officer classes were added and the order was
included among war decorations (through the addition of swords). The order was very high
positioned in the Romanian hierarchy, before the older national orders, "The Star of Romania" and
"The Crown of Romania".

Officer`s Cross, for civil; breast badge, both sides enamelled, silver gilt, very fine execution, with
fitted original ribbon with rosette. Very rare order and class, in good condition with an enamel chip
on one arm. This class was introduced in 1937 and closed in 1939.
